We have owned a row house in Wiesbaden for 2 years now. We recently purchased a family puppy. The puppy has grown quickly and can now easily jump out of our fenced yard and run away. We decided to correct this problem by hiring a legitimate landscaper to clear out our very overgrown/ muddy garden and erect a privacy fence (1.8 meters). Our neighbours are LIVID! They have told us that we were meant to have given them 4-5 weeks notice of this plan so that they could have time to object to it. Is that correct? We did not give them 4-5 weeks notice and we are wondering what legal action our neighbours can take against us.
