Good day.

My South African drivers license has expired before I could go and exchange it for the German license. Because it was only by one month, I did send all the paperwork in, but they still rejected the application. Could you please inform me what I should do to apply for a German license? The lady at the department, were I did the application, could not inform us at all what the next step should be.

Kind Regards,
Irene

Hi there

I actually am not sure if you are the right person to ask but I honestly don't know who to contact so I'm hoping you can help. I have German nationality but I've been living in South Africa. I have recently moved to Germany to live with my gran and uncle for a few years (maybe permanently) to study or work. I'd like to exchange my South African drivers license for a German one. How do I go about this? What would I need? Thank you! Kind regards, cherie

I married a german man in 2002, but moved back to South Africa (my country) and we have been separated since 2007. I want a divorce, but he says I must pay him 7000 EURO before he will divorce me as this is the cost for divorce. As I married there, I don't know your laws, how can I go about getting such divorce by myself to reduce this high expense. In our country this is 70,000 ZAR, most of us don't earn that in 6 months. Please help guide me to the procedure. Thanks.

I am basically looking for some information to see if germany has any preschool funding schemes available? Something like the ECCE scheme we have here in ireland which is bassically a one free year of education for preschool children. If you can get back to as soon as possible that would be great.
Thank you

Hello, My husband and I are from the US and currently reside in Bahrain in the Middle East. My husband does a lot of traveling and most of his connection flights are in Frankfurt, Germany. We have been considering moving around the Frankfurt area so his flights aren't as extensive. Do you have any advice of an area that would be a great place to look into? Also cost of living?

Neither of us speak German but have bought Rosetta Stone to learn.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

My boyfriend of 5 years is a pro hockey player who just signed for a year in Germany. I plan on going with him. We're both Canadian. He will be working (as a hockey player) I will not be. Do I need to get a visa? If so, what kind? Also, is there any way that I will be allowed to stay for at least 8 consecutive months, or will I need to return to Canada and if so, how often? Also, where in Ontario can I go to apply for a visa/ask more questions if necessary.

Thank you so much

Hello Expert,

I am currently holding a Bachelor degree in Science in the field of Electrical Engineering from Egypt. I want to move to Germany and work in the field in Engineering, since i have 4 languages, which i think are valuable in international market. I want to know how is my Bachelor accredited, also how to register myself there to be considered also as an Engineer with the same rank. I've searched a lot, but can't find the optimum solution. Thank you. Good Day.
