Nicolas Hayek, Swiss watch saviour, dies at 82

Bienne, Switzerland GenevaLunch – Nicolas Hayek, 82, died of heart failure Monday 28 June, the Swatch Group announced. He is widely credited with saving the Swiss watch industry through his vision that led to the creation of Swatch, but also to several key changes in the watch industry.
