Jetair and Thomas Cook are lowering fuel surcharge on airplane travel as price of kerosene drops.

4 September 2008

BELGIUM -- Tour operator Jetair is lowering its fuel surcharge on airplane travel following the example of Thomas Cook.

The price of kerosene has dropped in recent months. Tour operator Jetair is passing the advantage along to the passengers as it lowers the fuel surcharge.

The amount of the fuel surcharge and how much it is being lowered depends on the specific flight.

The lower surcharge will be applied to all future bookings, and bookings whose flights will depart from 24 September.

Thomas Cook announced earlier that it would lower the fuel surcharge.

Both Thomas Cook and Jetair increased their fuel surcharge three times this year.
