Adam G., who took the life of Joe Van Holsbeeck, will not be obliged to serve his sentence in his native Poland.

Adam G. received a twenty year sentence for killing the teenager Joe Van Holsbeeck in the central hall of the Central Station in Brussels three years ago.

The killer then started a procedure in the courts to prevent him being obliged to serve his sentence in his native Poland.

A Belgian magistrate has now ruled in his favour and has banned the transfer of Adam G. to Poland.

The Pole fears that he may be abused in his native country.

The killer had also never been asked if he wanted to serve his sentence at home.
