PARIS - A bus carrying nine teenagers from Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium enrolled in a summer language school crashed Monday in southern France, killing one Belgian teenager, police said.

At least two others were seriously injured in the accident near Greoux-les-Bains in Provence, according to police.

The other passengers escaped with minor injuries.

The students are in the South of France at a summer camp to improve their French.

The accident happened at around 2pm on Monday when the youngsters were returning from a visit to a local market.

The bus crashed after the driver lost control of the vehicle.  A breathalyzer test showed he was not drunk at the wheel, police added.
