In the fourth quarter of the year, InBev even doubled its profits to €900 million.

In the fourth quarter of the year, InBev even doubled its profits to €900 million, mostly as a result of a strong growth in Brazil and Eastern Europe.

InBev revealed the latest figures on Thursday morning. Turnover increased last year by 7.2% to €14.4 billion. The group sold 270.5 million hectolitres of beer (+5.2%).

 (Belga) InBev is taking a cautious, wait-and-see attitude for 2008. The group stresses that it will be very difficult to repeat the strong results of last year.

The company further announced that it would be selling €500 million worth of shares over the next years. The dividend has gone up more than three fold- from 72 eurocents to €2.44.
