The Role:

Based in Belgium Antwerp – with travel to the UK – Reading area

Languages – Dutch and English

Purpose of the job:
The purpose of the Civil Engineer is to ensure that the infrastructure installed on the project meets National International and company standards and deliver safe and reliable plant to planned cost and schedule.

The role will support the Civil discipline, with expertise in Steel and concrete, within the project.

Specific Role Requirements:
* Degree qualified and chartered or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline.
* Experienced in Civil/structural Engineering in a Petrochemical setting. Operations experience would be a significant advantage.
* Seasoned and experienced Engineer.
* Sound knowledge of key discipline within Steel and Concrete
* Belgium Civil regulations and laws.
* Roles and Responsibilities of Notifiable Bodies, and their equivalent.

Accountabilities of the job:
The role reports to the Civil Department manager.
The role responsibilities include
Pre-Feed Study Role:
Support the Project Program Engineering manager to develop a clear and concise set of Civil engineering standards which meet National and International standards.
Own the Civil Engineering elements of the Project Standards and approve Deviations and Wavier to the standards throughout the project.

FEED Study Role:
To support the lead Civil Engineer in the performance of his/her duties, deputising as required.
Work closely with the Project Engineers to ensure that all Civil Engineering issues are properly resolved in a timely manner, that design changes are managed correctly, and that the facilities comply with all Project and statutory requirements and Stakeholder expectations.
Deliver Engineering design and procurement work performed by the FEED Contractors and other third party designers/vendors, providing oversight and guidance, ensuring that all work satisfies Project One specifications and standards
EPC Role:
Responsibilities generally as above (but now related to working with the EPC Contractor)
Work with the project engineer to ensure that all module fabrication and construction work, system Completions and Handover, punch listing, ensuring that all Civil Engineering work satisfies Project One specifications and standards
Support pre – commissioning and commissioning, etc. as required
