Strikes continue at Ikea Genk

16 October 2007

The 160 employees of Ikea’s distribution centre in Genk are continuing their strike. They are outraged because management is refusing to negotiate better wages and terms of employment.

Consultations were held once again on Monday evening, but proved to be fruitless. If the strikes are continued for another few days, it could have a negative effect on the availability of stocks at Ikea shops across the Benelux.
