8 August 2005

BRUSSELS — The tickets for the Coldplay concert in the Sportpaleis in Antwerp on 26 October were sold out in just under an hour on Saturday.

Ticket sales started at 9am on Saturday and a maximum of four tickets per person could be ordered over the internet or via telephone with Go For Music.

Online sales unit Tele Ticket Service handled the internet sales and said a purchase every second was recorded, but its servers were never overloaded.

In total, 11,525 tickets were reserved in one hour. The average number of tickets per customer was 3.2, newspaper ‘De Standaard’ reported.

Registered fans of the popular British rock group could order one or two tickets last Thursday. Some 3,000 tickets were reserved within an hour.
