A YEAR FROM THEN
This is the first solo exhibition of British artist Michelle Frith and displays the work she has produced during her first year living in Brussels. After making the leap from teaching art to producing artwork herself, the exhibition is a chance to see this collection of oil and acrylic paintings which seek to capture and relive the beauty, magic and colour of the places to which Michelle has travelled and the people she has met.
The collection is an amalgam of various subject matters, ranging from landscape to still life to portraiture. The thread running throughout, besides the obvious vibrancy in colour, is some indefinable quality each scene possessed to motivate her internal drive to recapture it in the form of a painting.
