When Margaret Thatcher held a referendum over 30 years ago there was a three way split of opinion; the for, the against, and the don't knows, and the situation since has altered little. The SNP in its wisdom are pushing this age change to a group of teenagers who have not yet arrived at the age of discretion which is a very questionable move. Most youngsters of this age, like the children of Hamelin, follow the tide of opinion as few are unable to think independently and lack sufficient experience to make such a determination. If independence goes wrong who then should shoulder the blame; the here today gone tomorrow brigade of politicians or the youngsters who have to live with their decision for the rest of the lives? A very ominous move. Advance Caledonia backwards!
