Photos reveal Kate's rise from toddler to royal bride
Family photos of Kate Middleton were released Monday ahead of her wedding to Prince William next month, showing her progression from a smiling child to the girlfriend of a future king.
The first shows Kate aged five, smiling in the sunshine with a slightly mischievous look on her face, while another captures her as a pig-tailed three-year-old walking up a slope in the Lake District in northern England.
Another depicts a family holiday when Kate is four, where she stands among ancient ruins in Jerash in Jordan with her father Michael and younger sister Pippa, who will be her bridesmaid when she walks down the aisle on April 29.
The Middletons moved to Amman in May 1984, when Kate's father worked there. She attended a nursery school in the Jordanian capital from age three.
The fourth picture released by the family shows Kate, 29, on the day she graduated from St Andrews University with a 2:1 degree in History of Art in 2005.
She met William at the Scottish university, sharing a house with him before they became a couple, and the final photo shows the pair arm-in-arm on graduation day, looking relaxed and happy.
William, the 28-year-old son of heir-to-the-throne Prince Charles and the late Diana, proposed during a holiday in Kenya in October, presenting his fiancee with his mother's sapphire and diamond engagement ring.
