Marks and Spencer says to enter Egyptian market

British clothing-to-food retailer Marks and Spencer on Wednesday announced plans to enter the Egyptian market by opening two stores in Cairo by 2012.

"Marks & Spencer today announces plans to open its first store in the Dandy Mega Mall in Cairo later this year -- the first time the retailer will enter into the Egyptian market, in conjunction with its franchise partner Al Futtaim," the iconic British group said in a statement.
