Kings of Leon gig in London postponed after tour bus fire
A sold-out concert by US rock band Kings of Leon in London on Tuesday has been postponed after a tour bus belonging to the group caught fire, leaving six people requiring treatment, the venue said.
About 60 firefighters were called to the 02 arena in southeast London after a blaze in the loading area destroyed two buses. Six people needed smoke inhalation treatment.
"Unfortunately, due to this morning's fire on board one of the tour buses at The O2, tonight's Kings of Leon concert will now be postponed," said a statement on website of the arena, which is located in the old Millennium Dome.
"Whilst there is no damage to The O2 there is now insufficient time to rig the arena for tonight's performance. We are sorry for the inconvenience and we will announce a new date shortly."
Kings of Leon, from Tennessee, have released four albums including the multi-platinum "Only By The Night", featuring the hit single "Sex On Fire".
