Dutchman charged in big British murder hunt
A 32-year-old Dutchman was charged Saturday with the murder of a British woman whose death has dominated the domestic news agenda since her body was discovered on Christmas Day.
Vincent Tabak will face appear in court in Bristol, southwest England, on Monday accused of killing 25-year-old Joanna Yeates.
The landscape architect disappeared in the city on December 17 after an evening out.
Her frozen body was found dumped in a lane on Christmas Day, sparking a massive manhunt and a post-mortem found Yeates had been strangled.
The case has dominated British newspaper front pages and broadcast bulletins ever since.
Tabak, who was arrested Thursday, is registered as living in the neigbouring flat to Yeates in Bristol. Police are still carrying carry out forensic work in the building.
