Doha to hike pressure on Kadhafi: Britain

The Doha meeting of top international diplomats on Wednesday will "strengthen" the pressure on Libya's leader Moamer Kadhafi to step down, British Foreign Secretary William Hague said.

"It is impossible for anyone to see a viable future for Libya with Colonel Kadhafi in power," Hague told reporters on the sidelines of a meeting in Doha of the contact group on the Libya conflict.

"Pressure for Kadhafi to go will increase at the meeting today. It will strengthen not weaken," said Hague, a co-host of the first session of the contact group set up at a conference in London at the end of March.
