British Prime Minister David Cameron "will not support" a London-Brussels power transfer, a British spokesperson said Tuesday after France and Germany called for EU treaty changes to allow tighter economic governance.

"We will look closely at what is being proposed, but as the prime minister has made clear, we will not support anything that involves a transfer of powers from Westminster to Brussels," the spokesperson said.
