Brothel rape claim at British serial killers' former home
British police are investigating an alleged rape at a brothel located in the house where serial killers Fred and Rose West began their murder spree, reports said Friday.
The alleged victim, alleged to have been brought to Britain as part of a sex trafficking ring, says she was attacked at the property at 25 Midland Road, in Gloucester, western England, Britain's Press Association and the Sun newspaper said.
The property was where Fred West's eight-year-old stepdaughter Charmaine was murdered and buried under the kitchen floor in 1971.
London's Metropolitan Police would not confirm the reports, but said three people, one of them from Gloucester, would appear in court Friday charged with conspiracy to trafficking for sexual exploitation.
Three men arrested in the Czech Republic are subject to extradition proceedings, it said in a statement.
The Wests tortured, raped and murdered an unknown number of women over two decades, most of them at the so-called "House of Horrors" at 25 Cromwell Road, where they moved after the house at Midland Road.
Fred West, who was charged with 12 murders, committed suicide in prison in 1995 aged 53. His wife Rose, now 57, was convicted of 10 murders in 1995 and is serving life in prison.
