British quarterly growth revised up to 1.2 percent: data

Britain's economy grew 1.2 percent in the second quarter compared with the first three months of the year, according to official data Friday that was higher than an initial estimate of 1.1 percent.

"GDP increased by 1.2 percent in the second quarter of 2010, revised up from 1.1 percent," the Office for National Statistics said in a statement.
