British police release new shots of spy in bath death
Police released new images Monday of a British spy whose naked, decomposing body was found padlocked into a bag in his bath tub.
The closed-circuit television (CCTV) pictures from mid-August showing Gareth Williams entering a London Underground station were taken shortly before his presumed mysterious death.
Williams, 30, worked for the secret intelligence service MI6 and his remains were found in his flat near its London headquarters on August 23.
Scotland Yard say the death is still unexplained, despite heavy media coverage, and are appealing for a man and a woman aged between 20 and 30 seen entering his block of flats late one night in June or July to come forward.
They have also revealed that no trace of drink or drugs was found in his body and have not been able to establish what caused his death.
Other CCTV pictures showed Williams going shopping on a number of occasions in the upmarket West End and Knightsbridge areas of London, after he returned from a holiday in the United States.
Williams has been described by friends and family as a shy mathematics genius.
He was working at MI6 on secondment from GCHQ, which monitors communications for intelligence purposes and is based in Cheltenham, west England.
