British police on Wednesday questioned two men following their arrest in the south England port of Dover on suspicion of terror offences, Scotland Yard said.

Officers from the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Command detained the pair, aged 26 and 44, at around 11.00pm (2200GMT) on Tuesday.

The were arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism and are currently in custody at a police station in south London.

Officers are also searching two addresses in London and one in Hertfordshire, north of the British capital.

Two brothers last week pleaded guilty in a British court to conspiring to attend a terror training camp in Syria after they were arrested in the same port last September.
