British police arrested a fifth man on Thursday on suspicion of murder following the fatal shooting of an Indian student in northwest England earlier this week.
Anuj Bidve, a 23-year-old postgraduate student, was shot in the head at close range on Monday in Salford, near Manchester.
"In the early hours of Thursday 29 December 2011, police arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of murder. He and four others aged 16, 17, 17 and 19 remain in police custody," police said in a statement.
