British manufacturing output rises 0.2% in September

Britain's manufacturing output rose 0.2 percent in September compared with August, official data showed on Tuesday.

Production climbed 2.0 percent in September compared with 12 months earlier, the Office for National Statistics said in a statement.

Industrial production, which includes mining and quarrying, as well as the electricity, gas and water supply sectors, was flat in September compared with August but dropped 0.7 percent on an annual basis, the ONS added.
