British house prices fall slightly in November: survey

British house prices fell 0.3 percent in November from October, when they slid 0.7 percent, a key survey by home-loans provider Nationwide showed on Wednesday.

"The recent trend of modestly falling house prices continued during November, with the price of a typical UK property declining by 0.3 percent on a seasonally adjusted basis between October and November," Nationwide's chief economist Martin Gahbauer said in a statement.

The average value of a home in Britain stood at 163,398 pounds (194,337 euros, 254,961 dollars) in November, according to Nationwide.
