British bank LBG axes 325 more jobs
Britain's Lloyds Banking Group is to axe another 325 jobs as part of a major restructuring programme, the partly-nationalised lender said on Thursday.
"Lloyds Banking Group is today announcing 325 role reductions in its business support functions within its Wholesale and Group Operations divisions as part of the ongoing integration programme," LBG said in a statement.
The British state owns 41 percent of LBG after a huge bailout during the global financial crisis. Britain's biggest union Unite said Thursday that LBG had slashed 22,000 posts since last year.
