British Prime Minister David Cameron arrived in China on Tuesday for a two-day visit aimed at boosting trade ties with the world's second-largest economy, an AFP correspondent travelling with him said.

Cameron -- who was due to see Premier Wen Jiabao later in the day -- brings with him some 50 top business leaders seeking to win lucrative deals on a trip he has described as a "vitally important trade mission" .
