Britain's Lib Dems approve coalition deal

The Liberal Democrats said early Wednesday they had approved a power-sharing deal with the Conservative party to form a government after Britain's inconclusive general election.

"The parliamentary party and the federal executive endorsed the agreement between the Liberal Democrats and Conservatives to form a coalition government by the required three-quarters majority," said a party spokesman.
