ALC to buy 60 Boeing jets worth 4.6 billion dollars

Boeing said here on Tuesday that US group Air Lease Corporation planned to buy up to 60 of its single-aisle 737 passenger planes worth a combined 4.6 billion dollars.

"Boeing today announced that new leasing company Air Lease Corporation will purchase up to 60 next-generation 737-800s," the US planemaker said in a statement announcing the deal at the Farnborough Airshow.

The agreement comprises 54 firm orders and an option to buy six more.
