Two small blasts hit Moscow: report

Two small bombs packed with nails went off Friday moments apart in northeastern Moscow, causing no casualties but damaging several cars, Interfax quoted a police source as saying.

The explosives, which went off on the same street, were similar to the small bomb that exploded Wednesday outside a bus stop near the training centre for Russia's FSB security service in Moscow, the source added.

Wednesday's blast has been claimed by the Riyadus Salikhin Martyrs Brigade, an Islamist group founded by the Chechen warlord Shamil Basayev before his violent death in 2006.
