Turkey fury over Russian armed with rocket launcher on warship
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu on Sunday blasted as "provocation" images of a Russian serviceman armed with a rocket launcher as his warship passed through Turkish waters.
"Russian war vessels showing weapons is a provocation," Cavusoglu said in a speech broadcast on the private NTV television.
NTV reported that the "Caesar Kunikov" belonging to the Russian navy's Black Sea fleet passed through the Bosphorus on Sunday morning, however other media said the incident occurred on Friday.
NTV broadcast pictures of a Russian serviceman aboard the vessel with a type of rocket or missile launcher on his shoulder in the firing position.
Russia and Turkey have been plunged into their worst crisis since the Cold War over Turkey's downing of a Russian jet on its border with Syria on November 24 -- sparking fury and economic sanctions from the Kremlin.
