Stringent security around Sochi Olympics

Ever since the 1972 massacre of Israeli athletes at the Summer Olympics in Munich, Olympic organizers have been doing everything in their power to lay on watertight security around the Games. The latest example is Vancouver, where the effort cost nearly a billion dollars and involved over 15 thousand police, army, naval and even air force personnel.
