Russian woman dies after fall in Alps
Rescue teams found the body of a 32-year-old Russian woman Sunday who fell some 200 metres (656 feet) while hiking in the Alps in southeastern France, police said.
The young Muscovite had been climbing to the peak of the highest mountain in the Alps, Mont Blanc, with three Ukrainian and Russian friends on Saturday when, at around 4,600 metres altitude, she fell into a crevasse.
Rescuers found the woman's body on Sunday mid-morning and police said she had "probably frozen to death."
