A Thai court Wednesday granted permission for Russian conductor Mikhail Pletnev to leave the country temporarily despite his arrest on charges of raping a 14-year-old boy, a spokesman said.

"The court allowed him to leave the country temporarily after he sought permission," said a judiciary official in Pattaya, where the Grammy award-winning musician was arrested.
