Russian charged with orphans sex abuse
Russian investigators have charged a Russian man from the Urals with sexually abusing 10 boys, several of whom came from a local orphanage.
The Investigative Committee said on Thursday the 38-year-old from the Urals city of Yekaterinburg "agreed with the management of one of the children's homes in Yekaterinburg to deliver children to his house on weekends."
Investigators said they also intended to question people who ran the orphanage, although no charges against them have been filed.
State statistics show a 30-fold increase in the number of crimes against children registered by authorities since 2003.
It is not clear whether this jump is attributed to higher crime rates or better police prosecution.
