Russian budget deficit 3.9% in 2010
Russia's 2010 budget deficit came in at 1.79 trillion rubles (45.2 billion euros, $60.3 billion) or 3.9 percent of gross domestic product, news agencies cited Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin as saying on Thursday.
The figure tops the 3.5-3.8 percent forecast by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin last month but falls short of the 4.3 percent estimated by Kudrin.
Those forecasts were down from earlier projections for 5.0 percent as the struggling economy picked up strongly on the back of higher oil and other commodity prices.
On Wednesday, Putin said Russia's economy grew 3.8 percent last year.
