Putin hopes US-Russia ties won't be damaged by spy scandal
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin expressed hope Tuesday that a spy scandal would not damage improving relations between Russia and the United States, news agencies reported.
"Your police have let themselves go, and put people in prison," Putin told visiting former US president Bill Clinton at a meeting in his residence outside Moscow.
"I expect that the positive tendency in relations over the last years is not harmed. We very much hope that people who value good relations understand this."
