New violence in Kyrgyzstan, two dead

Two people have been killed and more than 70 have been wounded in ethnic clashes in Jalal-Abad in southern Kyrgyzstan . Crowds of angry protesters attempted to storm a university funded by the local Uzbek leader Kadyrjan Batyrov. According to the Kyrgyz Interior Ministry, the situation in Jalal-Abad is under control but tensions remain high.
