Moldova slashes high-ranking functionaries pensions by a third

The Moldovan Parliament has adopted a law authorizing a one-third cut in pensions of high-ranking government officials. Pensions of the President, the MPs and Government Ministers will now be calculated differently, namely in accordance with general practices, that’s depending on their labour record and incomes that they have paid their social insurance fees from.
