India train crash deaths top 70

Indian rescuers continue to pick their way through the mangled remains of a Mumbai-to-Kolkata express, which jumped track and collided with a freight train near Kolkata on Friday morning. The casualty toll has topped 70 killed and 200 injured and is likely to rise. Reports spoke about a loud explosion moments before the disaster. Local Maoists said they were responsible.
