Germany beats the USA in opening match of World Hockey Championship

Germany’s team defeated the U.S. in the opening match of the World Hockey Championship with the score 2:1. It was the home team’s Michael Wolff that scored first, 26 minutes into the game, held in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. The insistently aggressive attacks of the US team paid off only in the third period.
