German train collision leaves 16 injured

At least 16 people were injured when two trains collided late Wednesday in the northern German region of Hanover. A freight train crashed with a passenger train carrying 66 people, Hanover police spokesman said. Some of the freight train’s wagons derailed onto the track. The passenger train’s conductor suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized.
