The Russian spies freed by the United States landed Friday at a Moscow airport on board a Russian emergencies ministry plane, airport officials told AFP.

"The plane has arrived," a spokeswoman for the Domodedovo airport south of Moscow told AFP.

Another airport official said the plane belonged to Russia's emergency situations ministry.

Both officials said the flight No 9718 from Vienna arrived at 17:46 local time (1346 GMT).
