Freed Russian spies flying home: Russian official
Ten Russians who admitted to being agents in the United States were Friday en route to Russia in a flight from Vienna, a source in the Russian intelligence services said.
"The Russian citizens previously arrested in the United States have taken off on a Russian plane from Vienna for the motherland," the source said in a statement quoted by all Russia's main news agencies.
No further details were given.
Two Russian and American aircraft, presumed to be carrying a total of 14 spies between them, were earlier seen taking off from Vienna in the biggest espionage swap since the Cold War.
