Four police killed in Russia's Northern Caucasus

Unidentified assailants shot dead four police and wounded another one in Russia's volatile Northern Caucasus region of Kabardino-Balkaria where Moscow is fighting Islamist rebels.

"Four police died," a spokeswoman for regional investigators told AFP, adding the latest shootout took place in the town of Chegem.
