Flood puts Branderburg on alert

German authorities have raised their flood alert status to the maximum level 4 for towns along the Oder River in the federal state of Branderburg as large amounts of water continue to arrive downstream from Poland. 150 local firefighters remain on heightened alert, with rescue teams continuing to keep an eagle eye on the dams.
