Fighter jet crashes in Russia, pilots eject: official

A Su-27 fighter jet crashed in Russia's Far East on Monday but both pilots managed to eject, a spokesman for the emergencies ministry said.

"The plane crashed," the spokesman told AFP, adding the two pilots were unharmed. The cause of the accident was not immediately clear.

The accident took place in the village of Vozdvizhenka on the Russian Pacific.
