Ethnic rioting in Kyrgyzstan spreads

The latest wave of ethnic unrest in southern Kyrgyzstan has spread from the city of Osh to at least three rural districts. The clashes are between members of the dominant Kyrgyz ethnic group and Uzbeks. The casualty toll is in the dozens of dead and hundreds of injured. A state of emergency is in force.
