Briton among 50 dead in Russia plane crash: official
A British citizen was among 50 people killed when a Boeing 737 operated by a Russian airline crashed while attempting to land in Russia's Volga city of Kazan, the emergencies ministry said Monday.
Donna Carolina Bull, 53, was on the list of the 44 passengers and six crew travelling on the Tatarstan Airlines plane who were all killed in the disaster on Sunday evening, it said.
Emergencies ministry spokeswoman Irina Rossius told the Interfax news agency that along with the Briton a Ukrainian citizen was killed in the accident. The rest of those killed are believed to be Russian citizens.
Also among the dead was the 24-year-old son of the leader of the Tatarstan region, Irek Minnikhanov, and the head of the region's FSB security service, Alexander Antonov.
