BP places new cap over ruptured well

The British Petroleum Company succeeded Friday in placing a new cap over the ruptured well in the Gulf of Mexico and started to siphon 1000 barrels of oil per day to the surface onto the awaiting drill ship. But another 12,000 to 19,000 barrels continue gushing into the Gulf of Mexico waters daily.
